Raritan Valley Community College's Women's soccer team was in action Saturday down in Camden County. The team was focused on earning a key conference victory down in South Jersey. Alison Lessig (Delaware Valley) returned to lineup and cracked the score sheet first on a double assist from Christine Pohl (Manville) and Kiersten Hall (Bridgewater-Raritan). Camden rallied with 2 goals from Oksana Johnson and sat on the 2-1 halftime lead. The Lions came out fired up and fighting int he second half. Christine Pohl found Mary Vogt (Basking Ridge) for the equalizer early in the second half. Moments later the Lady Golden Lions took the lead on another goal from Vogt this time assisted by Kiersten Hall. Camden showed its toughness in the 67th minute when Victoria Sarlo sat on the back post and beat Golden Lion's keeper Emily Yelin (Delaware Valley) which sent the game into overtime. In overtime Vogt found the golden goal on a far post finish assisted again by Kiersten Hall. The Golden Lions look to start a winning streak when then travel back south to battle Gloucester on Tuesday.
