Najee Durant Tabbed To Lead Women's Basketball
Branchburg, NJ - Najee Durant has been named the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Raritan Valley Community College. Durant brings with him a wealth of experience as an assistant coach, most recently at Rutgers-Newark, and previously Union College. His ability to recruit, develop players, and his commitment to women's basketball made him stand out amongst a large talent pool. While at Union, Durant was part of a staff that won five Region XIX Titles while advancing to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament five times. He helped produce dozens of four-year scholarship players while coaching numerous Region XIX Player of the Year candidates.
"Najee has a reputation in the women's basketball community in NJ, that is second to none," RVCC Athletic Director, Phil Herro commented. "We are very excited for the future of the program with Najee at the helm as he is a proven recruiter, someone who has shown he can develop players, and most importantly a Head Coach committed to the overall success of our student-athletes" Herro continued.
Durant's tenure will begin with the 2026-2027 season.
