Herkimer, NY - The Raritan Valley Men's Soccer team fell 7-0 to Mohawk Valley in the opening round of the NJCAA National Tournament at Herkimer County Community College on Wednesday night. The score was not indicative of how well and how hard the Lions played. In a tightly contested first half the Hawks were only able to come away with a 1-0 lead after the first 45 minutes. Raritan Valley controlled the ball and the pace of play for nearly the entirety of the first half, but just couldn't find ways to get enough shots on goal. The Lions displayed heart and pride as they battled for every second of the game even though it got out of reach towards the end of the second half.
The team will now take on Northern Essex Community College at 6:30 P.M. at Herkimer on Thursday November 13th.
