Lions draw with Middlesex College

Branchburg, NJ-The RVCC Men's Soccer team welcomed Middlesex College to Branchburg on Thursday for an important Region XIX contest. After 110 minutes an outcome was not reached as the game ended with a 2-2 draw. Raritan got on the board first, as Donte East converted a penalty in the 15th minute for his 11th goal of the season. The Lions would take that 1-0 lead into halftime. 

In the 48th minute, Jamie Madrid from Middlesex would tally his first of two goals on the day. RV's Joe Jiminez knocked a loose ball into the back of the net off of one of RV's seven corners on the day. The 2-1 lead was short lived as Middlesex and Madrid responded with the equalizer less than a minute later. 

RV goalkeeper, Kevin Perez tallied seven saves on the day off of 16 Middlesex shots. The Lions return to action at home on Tuesday, October 4th against County College of Morris.
