Raritan Valley Director of Athletics Amanda DeMartino was a guest on Hunterdon County Chamber Radio on January 15th 2016. The interview went on for about an hour, and she discussed the growth of the athletic program at RVCC, coaching staff, facility upgrades, and the future of the department. DeMartino was a former four-year letter winner at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and after graduation immediately began a career in college athletics as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Northwood University in West Palm Beach, FL. After a couple years in coaching DeMartino transitioned into an administrative role and was named Director of Athletics in the Fall 2009.

The Fall 2015 additions of the cross country and volleyball teams was discussed, along with developing student athletes and propelling them to the next level at four year colleges. DeMartino is proud of development in the athletic department, and sees it in the student athletes.

"The biggest compliment is students that say 'I really don't want to leave, I wish RV was a four year school' and that to me says we are doing something right."
