Chandra Ramlogan, a freshman Outside Hitter, has been named to the All-Region XIX First Team. The Voorhees High School product ranked in the top three in every category for the Lions this year except blocks. She was a force on offense all year long as she racked up over 200 kills with a .262 hitting percentage making her good for 3.38 kills per set. A constant threat when serving, Ramlogan had over 60 service aces on the year. As efficient as she was on the offensive end, it was her defense that helped the Lions secure their best season in program history. Opposing offenses found little room to put the ball on the floor with Ramlogan holding down the back line. Chandra, a full rotational Outside Hitter, helped secure the Lions defense with over 200 digs, nearly 4 per set! With this honor Chandra becomes the first volleyball player in RVCC's history to be named to the All-Region First Team. In addition to her individual successes Chandra's hard work helped her team capture their first ever Garden State Athletic Conference Championship, Region XIX Runner-Up Award and an overall record of 20-2. The Lions were ranked as the #10 team in the NJCAA Division III for three straight weeks during the season. Congratulations to Chandra on all her accomplishments and on a wonderful Freshman year!
