RVCC Baseball Commits New Recruits for 2012-13

RVCC Baseball is gearing up for their fall season which will begin in mid-August.  While the team only had 3 sophomores last season, they have welcomed several new recruits for this upcoming year.  "Coach Del Guercio has done a great job building the program over the past 2 seasons in particular, we are looking forward to continuing to build and have great confidence in our new recruits." 

Baseball newcomers include Chris Petiya (Middlesex HS) who was named 1^st Team Middlesex All County, 1^st Team All State Group 2 and also received accolades as an Honorable Mention on the Louisville  Slugger All America Team.  He plays first base and DH.  Onefrio Cabezas (Roselle Park HS) was named to the All Union County 3^rd Team.  He was accepted to Kean College but has decided to attend RVCC to pursue his baseball career.  OT will play catcher for the Lions.  Steven Gonzalez (Union City) was named to the All Hudson County 3^rd Team as an outfielder.  Also joining the Lions from Union HS are Marc Lupo, outfielder, Steve Goydos, 3^rd base and Devon Zimmerman who made 3^rd team All Union County as a picther and outfielder.
